How the European totals are calculated

A bidding zone enters the total exactly once, attributed to the country that owns it in the registry. Systems with data newer than 180 minutes are counted — the threshold also covers operators publishing hourly, two hours behind; below it, systems working normally would be missing from the total.

The 24-hour curves and the changes are computed over a FIXED set of 4 zones — those with data in almost every hour of the window. Without that rule, a zone missing for one hour would produce a collapse that never happened, and “vs 24h ago” would compare sums over different sets.

Countries excluded because their bidding zone belongs to another country: LU (zone belongs to DE). Without that rule, the same generation would be counted twice.
