Romania's prosumers
Inferred, not measured. Utility-scale solar farms do report, so we know their capacity factor right now — 60.2%, meaning 2,045 MW produced from 3,395 MW installed. The same sun falls on the whole country, so we apply that factor to the prosumers' installed capacity.
The farms' reference capacity is 3,395 MW — the highest output measured in the past year. The official figure, 2,788 MW at the end of 2025, has fallen behind: it is published once a year, and more farms have been built since. The margin is tens of percent: a roof does not have a solar farm's tilt, and shading and snow are not in the calculation.

Nine in ten prosumers are people with panels on a house. Installed capacity, though, splits almost down the middle: company installations are several times larger.

Paid against the market
The solid line is what prosumers were paid, weighted by volume. The dashed line is the average day-ahead market price in the same month.
In January 2026 the gap was wide: prosumers were paid 28% below the market. From February the two lines run almost together.
