Europe's electricity,
in real time.
Follow demand, generation and electricity flows across every European country. Live data, from the transmission operators' own sources, for a cleaner and stronger Europe.
Hover a country for its demand right now and its mix. Pale means “we have no data”, not zero.
A Europe more connected,
greener, stronger.

The price of electricity today
The day-ahead auction result, across 45 of Europe's 51 bidding zones.
This is the wholesale price, from the exchange. A household bill adds network tariffs, levies, VAT and the supplier's margin on top. Find the cheapest hours, or see how much prices differ between zones.

How the European totals are calculated
A bidding zone enters the total exactly once, attributed to the country that owns it in the registry. Systems with data newer than 180 minutes are counted — the threshold also covers operators publishing hourly, two hours behind; below it, systems working normally would be missing from the total.
The 24-hour curves and the changes are computed over a FIXED set of 44 zones — those with data in almost every hour of the window. Without that rule, a zone missing for one hour would produce a collapse that never happened, and “vs 24h ago” would compare sums over different sets.
Countries excluded because their bidding zone belongs to another country: LU (zone belongs to DE). Without that rule, the same generation would be counted twice.
