Forces Elèctriques d'Andorra (FEDA) announced on 2 November that all Llum Verda label certificates linked to national production had been sold, for the third consecutive year. They cover electricity produced by the company's hydroelectric plant and by the Grau Roig solar park.

The figures. In 2026 Llum Verda marketed 122.29 GWh of renewable electricity, corresponding to 2025 production. Of this, 84.92 GWh came from FEDA's hydroelectric plant, 1.43 GWh from the Grau Roig park and 35.94 GWh was wind power from Spain, bought under contracts guaranteeing renewable origin. According to the company, the volume marketed avoided more than 15,000 tonnes of CO₂, equivalent to the annual emissions of about 3,200 petrol cars.

Who buys. The label now has 206 member companies, against 180 in 2025 and 100 in 2024, so their number has doubled in just over two years. Llum Verda allows companies to certify that the electricity they consume comes from renewable sources. Launched in 2022, the label had 39 holders in its first year and 88 in 2023, according to a FEDA statement from January 2024.

What comes next. Although the certificates from national production are sold out, FEDA keeps the label open to new companies and organisations. New demand will be covered with wind power from Spain, also with a guarantee of renewable origin, Bondia and Diari d'Andorra reported.

Context. The initiative is part of FEDA's decarbonisation strategy, which aims for carbon neutrality by 2030. In the January 2024 statement, the company also set the goal of making all imported energy renewable by the same date.
