Wholesale prices for the interval covering this moment, bidding zone by bidding zone — countries with several zones appear once per zone, with its code in brackets. The average is arithmetic across zones, not weighted by demand: a small zone counts as much as a large one. The figures exclude network tariffs, excise duty and VAT.

Who consumes: the base, the work rhythm, the day

An estimate from the shape of the consumption curve, not a measurement by customer category — that is not published in real time. Three parts: what never stops, what runs in shifts on working days, what switches on during the day.

archive up to 13/09/2026, 04:00:00

The base, non-stop
1,393MW
90.5% of the week's average · the Sunday-night floor: fridges, servers, installations that never stop
The work rhythm
48MW
3.1% of the week's average · how much more a working night carries than a Sunday night: the shifts
The day
99MW
6.4% of the week's average · what exceeds the working-night floor, on average: offices, shops, homes awake

Over the last seven days consumption averaged 1,540 MW and ranged between 1,159 and 1,891 MW.

How it was measured: the median of the 02–05 hours over 8 Sunday mornings (1,393 MW) and over 30 working mornings, Tuesday to Friday (1,441 MW), across the last 8 weeks; the average over the last seven days. The parts are cut from one another in order and add up exactly to the average.

The parts are shapes of the curve, not customer categories: the base holds every household's fridge as well as a plant that never stops; the day holds single-shift factories too. “Industrial” and “household” would be words these data cannot defend.

The operator's consumption forecast

How much the country is expected to consume, hour by hour, according to the forecast the transmission operator publishes for today and tomorrow. The line is the forecast; the bars, consumption measured so far.

This is an estimate, not a measurement. There is no official carbon-intensity measurement for this country, so we compute it from the production mix.

Σ(source generation × source factor) / Σ(generation), over positive values, with life-cycle factors.

The factors are life-cycle values — they include construction and fuel, not just combustion. That is why solar, wind and nuclear are not zero. Source: IPCC AR5 WG3, Anexa III, Tabelul A.III.2 (mediane), version 1.

How the renewable share is computed

Σ(renewable sources, positive values only) / Σ(all sources, positive only).

Numerator: Run-of-river hydro, Hydro reservoir, Onshore wind.

Denominator: 1,119 MW.

Pumped-storage hydro and waste are not counted as renewable — the first would double-count energy, the second is partly fossil and its biogenic fraction cannot honestly be separated.
