1,159,462,497 € for 9,470,845 MWh that stayed in the country works out at 122.42 € per megawatt-hour, in a month that averaged 122.80.
The first line is energy the country needed and got. The other two — 3,574,556 € together — come not from how much moved but from when: cheap hours to sell in, expensive hours to buy in. That is the price of a timing mismatch, not a loss.
Physical cross-border flows and commercial electricity trades measure different phenomena. ANRE data is shown as an independent official benchmark and should not be interpreted as an exact reconciliation.
Not an invoice. Cross-border electricity is not sold country to country: the markets are coupled and the physical flow is the outcome of a shared auction. These figures value the measured flow at this zone's own day-ahead price, so both directions can be compared on the same scale.
Flows are measured, quarter-hour by quarter-hour; hourly borders are spread across the four quarters they cover, so every megawatt-hour meets the price that was actually in force. Energy entering the country is not the same as energy consumed here — some of it passes through.

Who consumes: the base, the work rhythm, the day
An estimate from the shape of the consumption curve, not a measurement by customer category — that is not published in real time. Three parts: what never stops, what runs in shifts on working days, what switches on during the day.

Over the last seven days consumption averaged 42,266 MW and ranged between 32,317 and 51,939 MW.
How it was measured: the median of the 02–05 hours over 8 Sunday mornings (33,706 MW) and over 31 working mornings, Tuesday to Friday (36,414 MW), across the last 8 weeks; the average over the last seven days. The parts are cut from one another in order and add up exactly to the average.
The parts are shapes of the curve, not customer categories: the base holds every household's fridge as well as a plant that never stops; the day holds single-shift factories too. “Industrial” and “household” would be words these data cannot defend.
The operator's consumption forecast
How much the country is expected to consume, hour by hour, according to the forecast the transmission operator publishes for today and tomorrow. The line is the forecast; the bars, consumption measured so far.

This is an estimate, not a measurement. There is no official carbon-intensity measurement for this country, so we compute it from the production mix.
Σ(source generation × source factor) / Σ(generation), over positive values, with life-cycle factors.

How the renewable share is computed
Σ(renewable sources, positive values only) / Σ(all sources, positive only).
Numerator: Onshore wind, Run-of-river hydro, Hydro reservoir, Biomass, Offshore wind, Solar.
Denominator: 45,122 MW.
Pumped-storage hydro and waste are not counted as renewable — the first would double-count energy, the second is partly fossil and its biogenic fraction cannot honestly be separated.
Consumption — 48 hours
189 points, PT5M resolution. Long ranges are served from precomputed aggregates — a one-year chart from per-minute data would push hundreds of thousands of points into the browser for nothing. Our archive starts at 2015-01-01 00:00 UTC.
