2024 a fost primul an din 2009 încoace în care Austria a exportat mai multă electricitate decât a importat — iar lunile de vară din 2025 și 2026 au repetat isprava: fotovoltaicul nou și anii hidro buni au împins producția internă peste consum. Ținta legală rămâne ca din 2030 balanța anuală să fie acoperită integral din regenerabile.
