Hidroenergia — coloana vertebrală a sistemului austriac, în anii buni peste 60% din producție — traversează cel mai secetos an dintr-un secol de măsurători: Verbund raportează cu aproape 10% mai puțină apă turbinată, râurile alpine curg sub mediile istorice, iar golul se umple cu importuri și gaz. Factura secetei se citește direct în prețurile regionale.
