Switzerland: National Council energy committee rejects anti-wind initiatives by 17 to 8 and 17 to 6

The National Council’s Committee for the Environment, Spatial Planning and Energy (ESPEC-N) recommends rejecting two popular initiatives that would ban wind turbines in and near forests and require municipal consent for every project. The decision, announced on 3 November, now goes to the full National Council.
