Grupul Sev.en al miliardarului Pavel Tykač închide în decembrie 2026 — cel târziu în martie 2027 — termocentralele Počerady și Chvaletice și centrala de termoficare din Kladno: certificatele de emisii le-au făcut nerentabile. Anul a început deja simbolic: pe 1 februarie s-a extras ultimul cărbune negru din mina ČSM, sfârșitul mineritului de huilă în Cehia.
