Drax, Brookfield and Radiant plan a data centre of over 1 GW at Drax power station; investment could exceed £20bn

Drax announced on 3 November a partnership with Brookfield and its Radiant platform for an artificial intelligence data centre on the site of its North Yorkshire power station. The first phase, of up to 100 MW and £2.5bn, would operate from the first quarter of 2028, drawing power from the grid.
