About solar power
Solar output follows the sun: zero at night, highest at midday, with large swings between summer and winter. The daily curve above is the most legible fingerprint of this source — if you see significant solar output at midnight, the data is wrong, not the sun.
A counter-intuitive detail: at night, solar parks can show slightly negative values. It is not an error — inverters and auxiliary equipment draw power from the grid while the panels produce nothing.
