51 zones are missing from today’s table. This is not a fault of the page: a zone’s day-ahead price appears here only once its operator publishes it, and a source that stops answering takes with it exactly the zones it fed. Source status →

The average is arithmetic, not weighted by demand. ENTSO-E does not publish traded volumes in the price document, so SE1, with a fraction of European demand, weighs exactly as much as Germany. The figure measures how widely prices are spread across Europe, not what European electricity costs.

Where the figures come from

From ENTSO-E Transparency Platform's A44 document, requested separately for each bidding zone. The auction result is published once a day, usually around midday, Central European time.

ENTSO-E publishes the delivery day on Central European time, for all coupled zones. We group by each zone's local day, because that is what “today” means to whoever is looking. The difference shows only at the leading edge: the last published document reaches one hour into the next day, and that day is marked incomplete until the rest arrives.

Negative prices are real and are shown as such. They are neither filtered nor clipped to zero.
